After a rejuvenating weekend with old and new friends, our group is back together – exploring new places and concepts. Sunday morning we regrouped in Tel Aviv, where we started off with an introduction to the city and a special experience with City Tree – Urban Eco Community (עץ בעיר), a swim in Tel Aviv’s iconic beach, and a graffiti tour of the hip and historic Florentin neighborhood. At our new base that night we continued our PLAY group activities, and settled in for the night. Monday morning we dove into Israeli history – visiting Independence Hall, learning about refugee communities in modern Israel, and touring Yaffo. We ended the day with fun acrobalance activities, and an introductory discussion of our next few days in Jerusalem. Tuesday morning we packed up and headed into the mountains – to Jerusalem! Here we will explore more ancient and modern Jewish history, different religious communities, political parties, and Israeli-Palestinian relations. We look forward to sharing these experiences with you later this week.
